Mass. Schools Will Close Until Fall

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced that schools in the state will remained closed until at least May 4 in response to the coronavirus emergency. The announcement came as state public health officials reported that the total number of coronavirus-related deaths had risen to 15, up from 11 the day before. Officials reported 679 new confirmed cases of the disease, bringing the tally in Massachusetts to 1,838, up from 1,159. Officials said 19,794 people had been tested as of Wednesday, up from 13,749.
